By the Numbers (8/3-8/9)
Spent more than I cared to this week. But I think it was worth it, I took my mom and dad out for food this week on two separate occasions. Also went to the World Coin Exhibition at the Los Angeles Convention Center. All in all, it was a fun week!
- $15 – Platter of food bought at Vons for work meeting
- $8 – Dante’s Deli (good sandwiches)
- $23 – Ruby Tuesday (BOGO free!)
- $6 – Baja Sonora
- $5 – Hickory Spam x 2
- $2 – Starbucks Coffee
- $11 – Indian Buffet
- $16 – Dai Hei Jia
- $5 – Parking for LA Convention Center
- $4 – ANA World Coin Exhibition Entrance Fee (after $2 coupon)
- $36 – Sushi Koyo
Total: $131
On a side note, it’s weird how I like keeping track of my expenses. Most people I know cringe from knowing how much money was spent every week but I find it oddly cathartic. Must be the little OCD in me.
Also, I did spend $53 at the World Coin Exhibition buying the 2009 US Mint Silver Proof Set and gave my mom $200 to help me exchange rolls of quarters from where she works (should get me 20 rolls of quarters at $10 face value per roll). I didn’t include these two amounts in the above total expenses because the exchanged products are at least worth that much so I treat them more like investments rather than expenses.
One last note, I think I’m only going to go out and eat sushi when it’s either Happy Hour or All You Can Eat from now on… Buying sushi at market value is just WAY too expensive… Me and Bae spent a total of $65 on sushi at one meal this weekend! Don’t think it was worth it even though the sushi was very fresh. Next time I’m going to Go Go Sushi (both cheap and good!).
